Recent Event: Chemo to Camino
The Autoimmune Project embarked on a remarkable journey with our 'Chemo to Camino' fundraising campaign, advocating for individuals battling autoimmune diseases.
This event, which ran from 31st May to 4th July 2023, raised $5,000 to support the ground-breaking HOPE Research Program at The Garvan Institute. Our commitment to making a difference, one step at a time, has left an enduring impact on both the fundraising landscape and the lives of those affected by autoimmune diseases.

Chemo to Camino 2023
The Camino de Santiago is a renowned pilgrimage to the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela that has been walked since the early ninth century. Sara has chosen to walk the Camino de Frances in 2023 to symbolise how far she has come - from being bedridden for a year with weekly chemotherapy treatment as part of her ongoing battle with a rare autoimmune disease, to now - being able to live a full life in service to others.
