Education

We aim to advance understanding of autoimmune diseases within the medical community by supporting further education and training in the field of Immunology.

KEY INITIATIVE

Establish the Jack Woolridge Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dr Jack Woolridge was a revered cardiologist who pioneered innovative diagnostic testing that revolutionised cardiac medicine in Australia. Dr Woolridge dedicated his life to the study of medicine, retiring at the age of 90 after decades of compassionate service to his patients. He was also a devoted father to Sara and loving grandfather to Emily.

The Autoimmune Project will establish an annual memorial scholarship to be offered as a one-off payment to passionate Australian doctors or medical research scientists to assist with educational expenses involved in pursuing either:

  1. Clinical Immunology specialty training through RACP; or

  2. An approved Australian tertiary postgraduate course (Masters/PHD) specialising in research within the field of Immunology.
