Research
We are committed to raising funds for research into the causes of, and treatments for, autoimmune diseases.
KEY INITIATIVE
Donate funds to the Hope Research program facilitated by the Garvan Institute
The Hope Research Program is a transformative study of autoimmune diseases conducted by the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Through examining diseases like MS, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and type 1 diabetes, the Hope program aims to find the underlying cause of autoimmune disease.
Using single cell DNA sequencing, Professor Goodnow and his team are tracking down and identifying the 'rogue immune cells in the blood of adults with over 40 autoimmune diseases, which drive the immune system to attack parts of the body. Once the research is validated, the team hopes to identify new and targeted treatment options.
Finding the answer to autoimmune disease requires innovative research, and the Hope Research program cannot be completed without additional financial support.

The Autoimmune Project is committed to making an annual donation to the Hope Research Program until the research program is complete.
