The Camino de Santiago is a renowned pilgrimage to the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela that has been walked since the early ninth century. The most popular route, the Camino de Frances, is 780km from the start point in Saint Jean Pied de Port to the finish in Santiago de Compostela.

Sara has chosen to walk the Camino de Frances in 2023 to symbolise how far she has come - from being bedridden for a year with weekly chemotherapy treatment as part of her ongoing battle with a rare autoimmune disease , to now - being able to live life in service of others.
